Former Watch Dogs developers reveal online martial arts game, Absolver
A new game from former Ubisoft developers has been announced, called Absolver.
Indie studio Sloclap, which is comprised of former Ubisoft developers, and Devolver Digital have announced a new online martial-arts action game, called Absolver.
Absolver takes place in the Adal Empire where players will meet each other seamlessly during their adventure. With each encounter, a new story will unfold with players wondering what each other's intentions are. Players will be able to fight one another, team up, trade gear, and even teach each other new attacks.
The player has mysteriously joined the Absolvers, an elite corps of combatants who fight to maintain stability in the world. The road to become a full-fledged Absolver will be a long and hard one with players needing to help one another if they want to stand a chance in trials they’ll soon have to face.
As far as its gameplay, players will choose one of four stances which will be defined based on your orientation towards your enemy. You’ll learn different martial art schools, be able to choose your combat style, weapon, and edit your attack set via the Combat Deck.
Absolver is expected to release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One some time in 2017 with more information expected to be revealed during E3 2016.
