Yo-Kai Watch invaded the US this past November, and it seems its domination over our Nintendo 3DS won’t stop there as Nintendo has announced Yo-Kai Watch 2 will launch in the US on September 30.

Yo-Kai Watch 2 will launch exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS and is being developed by studio that worked on the original Yo-Kai title, LEVEL-5. The game is expected to offer the same deep RPG gameplay and adventures fans have come to expect from the first game, while also delivering new areas to explore and over 100 new Yo-kai to encounter. Yo-Kai Watch 2 also features a new-and-improved in-game Yo-Kai watch and even the ability to travel back in time.

Two versions of Yo-Kai Watch 2 will be available in September: Yo-Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits and Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls. Each game will feature rare Yo-kai that can only be found in their respective games, which seems awfully familiar to us.

“After being such a massive sensation in Japan, it’s great to see the U.S. start to embrace the mischievous and lovable Yo-kai,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “We’re excited to continue bringing fun Yo-kai experiences stateside this year.”
