Monster Hunter Generations will have you hunting various beasts on the Nintendo 3DS on July 15, Nintendo of America announced today.

In addition to its release date, Nintendo has revealed a limited edition New Nintendo 3DS XL specifically made for the release of Monster Hunter Generations. The limited edition New 3DS XL will also be available on July 15.

We first learned about Monster Hunter Generations earlier this year when its trademark leaked prior to its official reveal. We then learned last month we could expect the game to be released this Summer, and today, we now know July 15th is the day Monster Hunter fans should circle on their calendar.

Monster Hunter Generations will introduce new gameplay mechanics, including Styles and Hunter Arts, which can help further refine a player’s very personalized playstyle. Players will also be able to mount monsters from mid-air using the Aerial style, or make the most out of the Hunter Arts abilities with the Striker Style.
