Battlefield 4 and Hardline get free DLC packs through May 10
What better way to get people back into the game before a possible Battlefield 5 announcement on May 6.
We are getting details on a new Battlefield game on May 6. So to entice people who have left the franchise to come back to the fold, EA is offering a free DLC pack for both Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline.
The official Battlefield site reveals that, beginning today and going through May 10, Battlefield 4 Dragon's Teeth DLC and Battlefield Hardline Robbery DLC are free for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. The DLC is good on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4. Both packs regularly retail for $14.99.
As a bonus, Battlefield 4 players will get a free gold battlepack if they can record 2.5 million melee kills on any map and in any multiplayer mode. In Hardline, if players can score 300,000 points in Heist mode, they will also get a gold battlepack. Both events end on May 10.
And while the timing is good for the next Battlefield game, EA said this is just the beginning. Over the next few months, more previously released DLC will be free as well. We'll keep you posted when the free DLC becomes available.
