Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios have released a new trailer that focuses on the backstory to Homefront: The Revolution, which will serve as the opening cinematic for the title, called “America Has Fallen.”

The America Has Fallen opening cinematic tells the story of a reimagined alternate history which dates back to the ashes of the Korean War documents back in 1972. The birth of North Korea’s Silicon River pushed the country forward as its tech was way ahead of anything the USA was working on.

Unfortunately, as North Korea continued to become the world leader in technology, so did its military force. And as you could guess, America eventually falls to North Korea.

Homefront: The Revolution will release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on May 17.
