Tales of Berseria releasing in the West in early 2017 on PC, PS4
Bandai Namco has announced we can expect Tales of Berseria to be released in the West in early 2017.
Bandai Namco has announced Tales of Berseria will be releasing to the West in early 2017 on PlayStation 4 and PC.
The publisher previously announced Tales of Berseria would be released in the West, although this is the first time it has revealed a launch date window of any kind.
In addition to today’s release date window announcement, Bandai Namco has revealed new characters, skit system, and additional details on the new battle system. The first character is the 1,000 year-old Eizen, who is nicknamed “The Reaper.” Eizen is the skipper of Aifread’s pirates and joins Velvet to fight a common enemy.
Eleanor was previously announced, although Bandai Namco has revealed she’ll be playable in Tales of Berseria.
The skit system will once again allow characters to interact with each other outside of battles and cutscenes, with such discussions ranging from serious emotional moments to funny scenes. The latest game will introduce a “cut-in” effect, which will inject character illustrations into a corresponding conversation in a number of ways, such as describing a character’s facial expression.

Zestria began life targetted to the PS3 and changed course for PS4/XB1/PC during development. My hope is that Berseria is actually a proper "next gen" game.
Zestria looked okay, but it had bland texture work and some really low-level geometry. I'm looking forward to something that would actually make use of modern hardware.
