Dark Souls 3 patch 1.04 releasing on PS4, Xbox One, and PC today
Expect a number of changes to some of the weapons in Dark Souls 3 with today's patch, including a change in how the Greatsword works.
Bandai Namco has announced patch 1.04 for Dark Souls 3 will begin rolling out later on this evening on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, although the patch for the latter of the group will be listed as patch 1.03.1.
Patch 1.04 (or 1.03.1 for PC players) will include a small list of changes, which includes general balance adjustments and bug fixes, a performance adjustment for the Greatsword, battle performance adjustments for Dancer’s Enchanted Sword and Winged Knight Twinaxes, and performance adjustments for Soul’s Greatsword and Farron Flashsword. From Software has also fixed issues players have come across where multiple items wouldn’t be usable at Road of Sacrifices, Farron Keep, and Cathedral of the Deep after completing the game.
From Software mentions the team is aware of the Regulations issue Xbox One players have been experiencing, and mention it’s working on a fix for that as well.
Unfortunately, it looks like PC players still don’t have a fix for the well-known Bonfire crash, although if you’ve been able to progress past the first Bonfire, then you probably shouldn’t worry about it as much as other players who have been unable to progress from the opening moments of the game.
