Killing Floor 2 getting humans vs. Zeds PvP game mode
Think Left 4 Dead but... well - this is essentially Left 4 Dead.
Killing Floor 2 will feature a new PvP mode where humans can duke it out against player-controlled Zeds, Tripwire Interactive president John Gibson revealed.
Players on the Zeds side can play as a range of different specimens, each of which have been equipped with their own special abilities. For example: Crawlers can leap around the map; Slashers can fly high through the air; Stalkers can turn themselves invisible; and Clots can rally other Zeds to a certain location. Both end-game bosses, Hans and the Patriarch, will reportedly also be playable.
In addition to the new PvP game mode, Gibson also revealed the remaining weapons for the Sharpshooter will become available when the next major update is released. The M14EBR, lever-action rifle, and crossbow from the original Killing Floor will be making a return in addition to a new 4th tier Horzine Tech Railgun.
Two new maps are also coming to the game that from the winners of Tripwire’s map contest: Hostile Grounds and Containment Station.

Sounds ... interesting. But I doubt I will care for it much. Never did enjoy versus a whole lot in L4D as it was mostly about map memorization. That's fine and all for the competitive gaming people, but I felt like I never knew enough to play infected well.
KF2 is a lot more camping and then shifting for the shop so I don't know quite how much fun that will be playing a Zed.
On the other hand, I really like the news about the sharpshooter class. I miss the lever action rifle quite a bit from KF1. More maps sound good too.
