Super Mario Maker hides behind Statue Mario tonight
Hot on the heels of today's Nintendo Direct, a new Super Mario Maker event course has been uploaded and today's costume should look familiar to anyone that's played Super Mario Bros. 3.
There's some new stuff headed to Super Mario Maker, as revealed earlier today. But all of that new content is coming next week. What about right now?
Well, there's a new Mystery Mushroom in the form of Statue Mario. The Statue Mario event course has been uploaded tonight and clearing it grants players a Costume Mario mushroom that transforms the plumber into the Tanooki statue from Super Mario Bros. 3... sort of. It's not so much a transformation as it is just Mario hiding behind the costume. In fact, he even picks it up and takes it with him whenever the player attempts to run.
To get a look at how Statue Mario will work, check out the video below. The Statue Mario event course should be available tonight.

Huh that's it? Is anyone actually happy about this skin? Man they did a whole video on it, that is insane, what a waste.
Why on earth didn't they do a video on the cool new stuff coming next week?
This sounds cool -> http://www.shacknews.com/article/93584/super-mario-maker-adds-new-elements-next-week
Truly bizarre?
Man I guess they are never going to re make:
- Super Mario Brothers
- Super Mario World 3
- Super Mario Land
In a full Mario marker(dev unlocked version or what ever with all the assets etc) and sell them as DLCs? Man that just seems like pure freaking gold just sitting there to be had :( , well I would buy them all in a second.
