Street Fighter 5 suffers from disappointing PC sales in its first week
A little over 100,000 sales for a new Street Fighter game? That can't be good.
Street Fighter 5 launched on both PlayStation 4 and PC, but it seems sales on PC have underwhelmed as it has only sold a little over 100,000 copies on the platform.
The numbers come from SteamSpy, which updated the sales figures for Street Fighter 5’s first week sales. According to its numbers, Street Fighter 5 sold 100,609 in its first week on PC at an average price of $59.99. Compared to the recent launch of other PC games, like Rise of the Tomb Raider and XCOM 2, a little over 100,000 is very low. For reference, XCOM 2 sold over 550,000 copies in its first five days, while Rise of the Tomb Raider sold close to 325,000.
Capcom has heavily promoted the PlayStation 4 version in many of its promotional assets for Street Fighter 5, which could be a major factor as to why its PC version hasn’t sold many copies. Or it could be the fact that Capcom essentially released an Early Access game at full price, which could mean many potential PC owners are keeping an eye on its development before purchasing it, or are just waiting for it to go on sale.

I don't know if the Pro scene requested it, but I understood that Capcom wanted it available for a competitive tournament, so they released it earlier than they would have otherwise.
I stayed away from it because of a lack of a single player game and a lack of Arcade mode, combined with the fact that every fighting game released on PC in the last 5 years has launched with disastrous net code, and a game without single player modes with bad netcode is something I want nothing to do with.
My assumption is other people felt the same, hence the low PC sales. -

I am okay with it because I don't like waiting all the time, I am bad and always lose and have to watch for 10+ minutes before I can try again. And I like watching but it gets old and the pressure gets to much when it's my turn again.
Xrd lobbies are the best, you can choose to spectate and also have up to 4 games going at once when all 8 slots are filled.-

It was one of those things that confused me at first but after a few minutes I was all why isn't this the gold standard? It's absolutely perfect and makes so much sense. I'm not sure if other games have done it before but anything coming after should be torn apart for not having something similar.
The only thing that could really be improved upon is if you could spectate matches in progress. If you aren't queued up for one of the 4 matches when the current fighters ready up and start (and you can ready up super fast), then you have to sit in the lobby screen until the match ends or another match opens up. It's almost too easy to miss out on watching a match, but the benefits definitely outweigh that small downside.
