Fallout 4's Todd Howard confirms mod support coming in April 2016
That's for both PC and consoles!
While the modding community has been doing a stellar job of modding the PC version of Fallout 4 since its release, but the game will change in more ways than one when Bethesda launches its official Creation Kit. While Bethesda has yet to officially reveal when its modkit will be available, Bethesda Game Studios’ director and executive producer Todd Howard has confirmed it’ll release in April 2016.
During an interview with Game Informer, Howard was asked when Fallout 4 fans could expect to see mods on both PC and consoles. “Our goal is between the first two DLCs. It’ll go up at that time on PC. In April,” he says. “All of that stuff will go up on PC. People are beta testing it. There’ll be a lag on consoles. We want to get it up on PC and have it work. It’ll probably be a good month before it hits Xbox One, and another month for PlayStation 4.”
We’ve seen some really impressive mods so far, but we can’t imagine what the modding community cooks up when the official Creation Kit is released.
