Xbox One preview members were given the opportunity to check out an upcoming update that improves social and party features, and tomorrow, it’ll be everyone’s turn as Microsoft has announced February’s system update will begin rolling out.

Once the update rolls out tomorrow, Xbox One owners will now be able to see who is in a Party prior to attempting to join them, as well as who they’re playing with, can keep tabs on their Gamerscore Leaderboard, and enjoy improvements to the suggested friends feature.

The update will also offer a number of UI improvements, such as the ability to rearrange Pins on Home and accessing them when you’re offline, the option to update your Activity Feed when you need new content, hiding games from the “ready-to-install” list, a shortcut to “Use a code” in the Xbox One Store, and the ability to program hotkeys on the Xbox One Chatpad.

Some additional improvements are rolling out on both the Xbox One and the Windows 10 Xbox app. This includes an Avatar Store, Xbox News, the Xbox Accessories app, and improvements to Trending. As for Xbox app specific updates, Microsoft will offer a Compact mode, which will allow you to keep tabs on your friends while not compromising as much of your desktop.

The February update is currently rolling out to the Xbox app today and will start rolling out on the Xbox One tomorrow.

Well if you have a Kinect you just say "use a code" and it was their original intent to make that the simplest option until they took it away.

You can use the Smart Glass app as a keyboard whenever the on screen keyboard is up, just open the app on your phone. You can also copy/paste with it, like for codes from Amazon or wherever.

Wonder if this'll fix me being unable to turn on or stream my xbox from the app.

I try to turn it on with the app it can't turn it on. I turn the Xbox one on myself. It just says turn on in the app. Normally it'd say stream if I'd turned it on myself.

Does it fix the stupid long login process? It adds so much to the bootup time.

Compact Mode on the desktop app will be A++. I still hate how often Steam forces you into Large Mode for pretty much everything.
