Shack Reels: Super Smash Bros. DLC Showcase on Umbra Clock Tower
Now that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS has rounded out its DLC roster, let's throw them all together and see who wins!
As discussed throghout yesterday, the Super Smash Bros. DLC train has hit the end of the line with the arrival of Bayonetta and Corrin. That means Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS officially ends with seven DLC characters and several new stages.
So just for fun, Shacknews decided to simply throw all of these DLC characters into a single 8-player Smash (using both the male and female Corrin to round out the 8=person field) and see who could emerge on top. This is not only to see which of these special guest fighters could come out the winner in an all-out 8-player free-for-all, but it's also to get a better glimpse of the new Umbra Clock Tower stage in an 8-player format. While the forces of Purgatorio will stay back with eight players present, there are still platforms flying around everywhere, making the stage a bit chaotic to follow.
Check out the video below to see who comes away victorious. For more, be sure to subscribe to Shacknews on YouTube. And be sure to keep up with the game's latest patch notes, which are still being updated.

Little bummed this is the last post-release content. Its crazy how much stuff they've added though.
Bayonetta is cool but not really my style. I'll definitely be playing Corrin some more though, plus they buffed Marth/Lucina! I really want those sword fighters to be good since that's what I mostly play.-

Taking with a big grain of salt, because supposedly this project nearly killed Sakurai. The work cycle for these games have been brutal, so I can't imagine him working with a relatively shorter turnaround.

Part of what's so difficult is that every Smash since Melee has been from scratch with a new studio. All of the balance and numbers and everything is in Sakurai's head. Its an insane thing to do, where every game is completely built from the ground up instead of iterating on prior work.
A straight or straight-ish port to NX seems like it would be much simpler, provided that Namco Bandai was the ones doing it.
