The Division post-launch plans outlined
As the beta for The Division is preparing to kick off, Ubisoft has outlined future plans for the open-world co-op shooter.
Ubisoft is set to kick off the beta for Tom Clancy's The Division, but before that, it's taking a moment to address the game's upcoming Season Pass. The Division is already set to get a slew of free updates, so what exactly could the Season Pass have to offer?
The answer appears to be trio of major expansions. The first of the game's expansions will be titled "Underground" and send players into the underground areas of New York City, opening up entirely new missions for four-player co-op. The second expansion will be called "Survival," which will see players attempt to run the gauntlet in a hostile environment. The final expansion is called "Last Stand" and the details for that one are being kept under wraps for the time being. Release timing for these expansions has not been given.
Those looking to skip the Season Pass can at least look forward to free updates over the course of the year. These updates will include new game modes that will offer new challenges, as well as lucrative rewards.
The Season Pass is included in The Division's Gold and Collector's Edition, but those waiting to see whether it's worthwhile will want to wait for the game to arrive. It's still slated for a March 8 release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
