Koei Tecmo disowns Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 comments made on official Facebook page
According to Koei Tecmo, these comments were made by an employee and in no way speaks for the company. Yea - that employee is so fired.
Koei Tecmo has disowned comments that were recently made regarding Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 on the official Dead or Alive Facebook page. According to the publisher, the comments were made by an employee of the company and doesn’t reflect the opinion or business strategy of Koei Tecmo Games.
“We remain focused on delivering the best in fighting entertainment to our fans around the world, while consciously respecting and strategizing to support the different global audiences the Dead or Alive franchise lends itself to,” Koei Tecmo said in a statement submitted to Shacknews.
The company follows this statement by saying Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is still planned to be released in Japan and Asia only.
The comments made by the employee on the Dead or Alive Facebook page caused quite as stir as they not only spoke on behalf of the company to say there were no plans to bring Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 to the west, but also made a brash statement as a follow up. “Do you know many issues happening in video game industry with regard to how to treat female in video game industry? We do not want to talk those things here. But certainly we have gone through in last year or two to come to our decision,” the statement read.
