Nintendo has announced Mario Kart 8 will be the highlight of a new show on Disney XD called “Clash of the Karts: Mario Kart 8”.

Clash of the Karts will star eight of America’s “best young gamers” as they team up with a number of popular YouTube personalities, like Strawburry 17, Andre from Black Nerd Comedy, AtomicMari, and SethBling, as they compete in a one-hour multi-round Mario Kart 8 competition.

Clash of the Karts: Mario Kart 8 will air on December 5 at 8pm PT/ET.

This isn’t the first time video games have taken center stage on Disney XD as the Nintendo World Championships aired on the channel back in September 2015. We think it’s safe to assume the show did well for Disney XD in order for it to want to continue with another game-related television show. Let’s just see if the Clash of the Karts show is as entertaining as the Nintendo World Championships.
