CLANNAD tells the story of Tomoya Okazaki, who is a guarded delinquent that struggles to make sense of the abusive relationship he has with his father, but also to find the meaning to his life after the death of his mother. On his way to school, he meets a unique girl named Nagisa who is nervous about repeating her senior year. After that brief encounter, Nagisa decides they should be friends and has him help her revive the drama club.

The Dangopedia can be accessed from the main or pause menu to learn what some highlighted terms mean throughout the game.
