Nintendo has released a demo for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes on the Nintendo 3DS, but be sure to bring along a friend as it only supports local co-op.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes released on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems last week, but if you’ve been on the fence about the game, Nintendo has released a demo today that may change your mind.

The demo for Tri Force Heroes allows players to team up with two friends to take on a dungeon via local play. Each player will need to have their own copy of the demo, so Download Play and single-player won’t be available. A total of three costumes will be available to wear: Hero’s Tunic, Kokiri Clothes, and Legendary Dress.

If you don’t have anyone to play with, Nintendo is allowing those who download the demo the opportunity to play online co-op, but it’s during the following specific dates and times:

  • Oct. 30: 3-5 p.m. PT
  • Oct. 31: 3-5 p.m. PT
  • Nov. 1: 3-5 p.m. PT

This game is a huge let down. Why limit it to 3 and or single player? If you have only 2 in your house and you want to play it, you have to go online and find a 3rd. Why not make it scale to the amount of players? If you have 2 make the game, 2 player friendly. If you have 3 scale it up to 3 player friendly. Come on Nintendo it is 2015 not 1999.

      Dumbest game they have released.
