Let's continue with the theme of classic games getting new updates. Tripwire Interactive and Antimatter Games are visiting their old 2011 shooter, Red Orchestra 2, and the Reinforcement Update Pack. To celebrate, the game will be free to play for the rest of the week.

The Reinforcement Update Pack's main feature is a new map called Barrikady Factory. This map is a collaborative effort between Tripwire and the Red Orchestra community. It's only a beta map, though, so anyone looking to try it out must opt in to beta maps. The update also features a series of bug fixes, including kick voting fixes, sound adjustments, and tweaked recoil values.

As mentioned, both Red Orcestra 2 and Rising Storm will be free to play on Steam until Monday, October 26 at 10AM PST. Those looking to pick up Rising Storm GOTY Edition that comes with all the Red Orchestra goodness can also get it for 75 percent off during the duration of this sale.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
