Ubisoft launches 'Ubisoft Club' to offer more rewards, in-game content, and beta access
The Ubisoft Club appears to be just like Uplay, although it plans on offering more rewards for playing its games.
[Update: Ubisoft has sent us a statement to help clarify the difference between Ubisoft Club and Uplay. The statement reads, "Ubisoft Club replaces Uplay Win as the free single platform that rewards our players. Uplay remains the account that enable players to access all Ubisoft services such as forums, customer support, Uplay shop, Uplay PC and Ubisoft Club. Rewards already earned in Uplay Win will automatically be transferred to Ubisoft Club. Ubisoft Club also creates XP/Levels and Badges to enhance the game experience."
Original Story:
Ubisoft has announced it has leveled up its rewards program with the Ubisoft Club.
The Ubisoft Club will improve on its Uplay service as it’ll reward players with experience points, badges, and Units. Ubisoft Club isn’t limited to a single game or platform as you’ll be able to earn all of these rewards no matter what Ubisoft game you’re playing on any platform. The service will offer extra in-game content, the option to participate in betas, limited-edition goods, and discounts within its shop.
Ubisoft’s Uplay launched in 2009 along with the release of Assassin’s Creed II, which offered many of the same privileges the Ubisoft Club now does. In fact, users will need to log into Ubisoft Club using their Uplay account information. Once they do, all of their past games will automatically be imported, making this a pretty easy process. We just don’t know how the Ubisoft Club will differ from Uplay, but we guess we’ll see what the service offers in the coming months.
To sign up for the Ubisoft Club, head on over to its official website.
