Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 adds loyalty incentives and races in with Free Run mode
As part of its continuing Black Ops Friday streams, Treyarch has unveiled the latest game mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, one that falls in the nebulous barrier between single and multiplayer. The developer also described some bonuses that loyal CoD players will be receiving once they jump into Black Ops 3.
Activision and Treyarch are preparing to deploy Call of Duty: Black Ops III in just a few short weeks. While all of the game's Specialists have been revealed, there are apparently still new game modes that haven't been fully unveiled. Today saw Treyarch show off the game's latest mode called Free Run.
Free Run is described as an asymmetrical solo multiplayer mode. This is a series of four obstacle courses that tests players' abilities with the Black Ops 3 movement system. That means mastering the thrust systems, wall runs, slides, and other additions to the CoD move set.
Treyarch is also planning to give long-time CoD players bonuses for their loyalty. So anyone that has reached level 10, 31, or Prestige in either Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Ghosts, or Advanced Warfare will receive special in-game items. More details on those can be found on the Call of Duty website.
