Microsoft partners with YouTube for 6-hour Halo 5 broadcast on Oct. 26
Halo 5: Guardians will be the highlight of a special 6-hour live broadcast, which will air exclusively on YouTube.
Microsoft and YouTube are partnering up for a special launch celebration for Halo 5: Guardians on October 26.
The six-hour live broadcast will be streaming exclusively on YouTube and will kick off at 3pm PT / 6pm ET. The broadcast will feature exclusive gameplay reveals, celebrity appearances, live interviews with 343 Industries and more.
Additional festivities that are planned to take place during the broadcast include the world premiere of the first episode of Halo: The Fall of Reach, the first Xbox roundtable featuring the writers of Halo 5: Guardians and Nathan Fillion, and special documentaries starring Halo super fans from around the world.
Microsoft has also planned some “interesting” promotional events to take place during the broadcast, which includes a fan in Australia playing Halo 5 from a helicopter flying over Sydney, London’s The Roundhouse transforming into an eSports event, action figures of Master Chief and Agent Locke traveling to the edge of space for “the most epic Gamertag selfie”, and a real-life course inspired by the game’s Arena multiplayer mode, Breakout.
There’s even more planned for the event, so if you’re excited for the release of Halo 5: Guardians, then be sure to tune in on Xbox’s YouTube channel.
