Rare has released a video taking a look Conker: Gettin’ Medieval, which was a game the studio was working on shortly after it released Conker: Live and Reloaded on Xbox. Unfortunately, it never reached the light of day, but the studio decided to talk about what they had planned for the title.

Conker: Gettin’ Medieval was supposed to be an online-only third-person shooter based on the portion of Conker: Live and Reloaded’s military missions. Death was going to be a main character in the title, although Rare doesn’t go into much detail as to what his role in the game would have been.

Rare spends the second half of today’s video highlighting a number of never-before-seen concept designs for the game. The concept designs show off a number of characters that would have been included in Gettin’ Medieval from both the Squirrels and Tediz factions.

With the recent release of Rare Replay, it's a shame we didn't get the Conker: Live and Reloaded version of Conker's Bad Fur Day, although Rare did say it would consider adding addition titles to the compilation through downloadable content. Let's hope it not only considers adding Live and Reloaded, but possibly maybe even completing Conker: Gettin' Medieval since it put so much work into the game.
