Danganronpa 3 confirmed for PlayStation 4 and Vita
The Danganronpa series is getting a new game as Danganronpa 3 has been announced for both the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.
Spike Chunsoft has revealed a new entry into its popular Danganronpa series, called New Danganronpa V3, is currently in development for both the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4.
The reveal came overnight during Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press conference as we learned the new game will take place in a school. The trailer below mentions a new method for characters to kill one another, although it doesn’t go into detail as to what those methods would be.
We learned about Danganronpa 3 earlier this year as Spike Chunsoft revealed the game was in its early stages at that time. It’s good to see it not only has an idea of what the game will be about, but it’s also invented new ways of killing characters off.
Danganronpa 3 marks the fourth game in the Danganronpa series as the original title released on the PS Vita back in 2014, with its sequel coming just a few months later. Spike Chunsoft then decided to develop a spin-off called Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls which just released on the Vita that takes a different approach to the series by introducing shooter mechanics. Danganronpa 3 appears to go back to the classic style gameplay that we’ve all been fond of and we look forward to hearing more about it in the coming months.
