Original story: As noted late last week, today is the day that Castle Crashers Remastered hits Xbox One. While new players will get the opportunity to try the four-player beat-'em-up for $14.99, owners of the previous Castle Crashers are set to receive the game for free. So far, that does not appear to be going well.
Seeing some reports that people who own Castle Crashers on 360 are being asked to pay (eg not getting the game free). Investigating now.

Xbox appears to be aware of the issue and is looking into the cause. In the meantime, anyone that purchased Castle Crashers on Xbox 360 is advised to sit tight and not pay the $14.99 asking price until this problem is resolved. Shacknews will continue to monitor this issue.
