Bungie offering Destiny players a taste of The Taken King content on Sept. 8
Want to get a taste of The Taken King before it's released? Well - Bungie is doing just that as it's announce a special preview event taking place on September 8.
Bungie has revealed Destiny players will be able to gain access to a special Crucible Preview Event once Destiny 2.0 launches on September 8.
The Crucible Preview Event will take place from September 8 and will last until September 14. During this time, Guardians can head to the Crucible to experience new game modes and maps, although Bungie notes you won’t have access to your Super abilities at that time. Guardians will need to visit your class Vanguard in The Taken King to earn your new subclass.
After September 14, the new Crucible content will only be available to those who pick up and continue playing The Taken King. Any and all Vanguard/Crucible marks will be converted into faction commendations starting on September 15.
Bungie allowing Destiny players the opportunity to preview more The Taken King content prior to its launch is a smart move on its part. While we’re sure a good majority of Destiny players are planning on picking up The Taken King, this opportunity will certainly get those who are on the fence the push they need to make their purchase on September 15.
