Amazon customers can now buy digital Nintendo Wii U and 3DS games
Amazon has launched a digital storefront for Nintendo customers to purchase digital versions of Wii U and 3DS games.
Amazon customers are now able to purchase digital versions of Nintendo games through a newly-created download space on the website.
The website currently has over 60 games available for purchase, which includes titles for both Wii U and 3DS. Once you make your purchase, you’ll be presented with a link to the Nintendo Network within a page thanking you for your order. The code will automatically be redeemed and the game will be sent to either your Wii U or 3DS, depending on what was purchased.
This new digital storefront on Amazon means customers now have another method to purchase digital Nintendo games, and best of all, all of your hard-earned Amazon gift cards can be used. As of this writing, prices between Amazon’s site and the Nintendo eShop appear to be the same. Games like Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U are both priced at $59.99. Hopefully Amazon will consider marking down prices for some Nintendo content, although after its Prime Day outing, we have a feeling it’ll underwhelm.
