Square Enix has released Lara Croft Go on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone devices today.
Lara Croft Go is a turn-based puzzle adventure game similar to the style of Hitman Go. Players will go on an isometric adventure with the Tomb Raider herself, Lara Croft, as she explores ancient ruins of a long-forgotten civilization. She’ll need to fight menacing enemies and overcome dangerous obstacles and traps to uncover the myth of the Queen of Venom, which will play out across five chapters. Hidden ancient relics can be collected for extra features and costumes for Lara Croft.
“With Lara Croft GO, we set out to capture the iconic franchise’s sense of exploration and combat in a fun, accessible way, while still challenging players,” said head of Square Enix Montreal Patrick Naud. ”The result is a clever, distinctive gameplay experience that we think will resonate not only with fans of Lara Croft and the GO series, but with most mobile gamers in general.”
Lara Croft Go is now available on the App Store, Google Play, and Windows Store for $4.99. If you want to learn more about the game prior to plunking down your five bucks, check out our preview from E3.
