Heroes of the Storm America's Championship hits Las Vegas in September
Those that love to watch competitive MOBA action will want to clear off mid-September from their calendar, as Heroes of the Storm hits Sin City for the Americas Championship, where eight teams will duke it out for $100,000 and the right to advance to BlizzCon 2015's World Championship stage.
The Dota 2 International may be over and in the books, but its MOBA contemporaries are carrying on with their own eSports tournaments. One of the next big ones will be from Blizzard and Heroes of the Storm, with the publisher announcing that the top eight teams in the Americas regions will duke it out for $100,000 in Las Vegas next month.
The top two teams that emerge from the Heroes of the Storm Americas Championship weekend will also advance to the World Championship tournament at BlizzCon 2015, where they'll compete for a $500,000 prize. Heroes of the Storm fans in Las Vegas that weekend are welcome to spectate for free. The Americas Championship will take place on September 19-20 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with doors opening at 9AM PT. More information can be found on Battle.net.
If this suddenly creates the itch to play Blizzard's free-to-play MOBA, the latest Heroes of the Storm update that include Diablo's Kharazim and the Infernal Shrines battleground is now available on the game's Public Test Realm servers. The full patch notes can be found on Battle.net.
