Runbow will launch on the Nintendo Wii U on August 27 for $14.99, developer 13AM games has announced.

Runbow is a nine-player multiplayer game that has racers brawling against one another while a color mechanic forces objects to appear and disappear when the background color changes. The game will feature a wide variety of guest characters, including Gunvolt, Shovel Knight, Rusty from Steam World Dig, Juan and Tostada from Guacamelee!, and more. Today, 13AM Games revealed even more guest characters have been added, which you can see in the trailer below.

During E3, 13AM Games revealed Runbow will add online multiplayer and an Adventure mode as well as offering a demo for only one week.

We went hands on with Runbow earlier this year, and judging by our experience, Wii U owners could be in for quite the battle royale later this month.
