The PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is getting a lot of attention from developer Treyarch as we previously learned they planned on offering 4K support and optimization for low- to mid-end PCs. This week at Gamescom, Treyarch revealed some additional bells and whistles PC gamers can expect from Black Ops 3.

In a PC update post published on Treyarch’s community site, the studio revealed the following features are coming to the PC version of Black Ops 3:

  • 100% Ranked Dedicated Servers
  • 2-Player Split Screen
  • Seamless Game Controller Support
  • Strong GPU scaling, SLI and Crossfire Optimizations, and 4K monitor support
  • FOV Slider
  • Framerate Cap Slider
  • Improved Text Chat features available in-game and also now in lobbies
  • Fantastic Steam Trading Cards
  • Treyarch Anti-Cheat (TAC)

Treyarch also mentioned the minimum PC requirements to play Black Ops 3, which they previously revealed earlier this year. Unfortunately, we still don’t have its recommended specs, but Treyarch reveals there’s a good reason for it. "As we add more optimizations and advanced graphics features, we're re-evaluating our recommended spec, so stay tuned," Treyarch writes. "Rest assured that our goal is to provide the best performance across the widest range of machines possible."

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is scheduled to release on Nov. 6 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One with a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version of the game still in development.

2 player split screen on PC is nice, that's pretty damn rare.

Dedicated servers? Is that, like, a middle aged British man in a tux inside every box? What about digital distribution? I assume you get a coupon code?

I wonder if the server will do other things besides install/launch the game for you and if he comes with his own mouse and keyboard? I hope it's wireless if so. And I hope he can be used to pour drinks at the very least, I guess much more than that is asking a lot for a 60$ human.

Controller support, FOV settings, FPS cap, and... strong GPU scaling AKA optimized, and some kind of anti cheat for multiplayer, should not be news or selling points, but a standard.
And well... that without talking about the stupid bait that is 4k in games.

Unless they come out and admit that the netcode for COD AW is pure garbage, then I don't expect this to be any better.

Why would Treyarch admit something that Sledgehammer Games is responsible for? It's not Treyarch's fault.
