I don't think it's possible to evaluate the hero solely on winrate when you're looking at such a small sample size. You have to look at the team behind the hero, and how the hero performs in terms of GPM and K:D.
There's a reason teams have favored SF at this tournament. They spent the last six months dominating with it.-
SF has a high GPM, but that's the problem with it. The hero takes up too much flash farm late in the game andkeeps another core from coming online. SF dominatest he mid game, so the kill numbers can be misleading. If you get kills mid game, but lose the game, whats the point?
SF has a high GPM, 565, but a combined K+A of ~15.
Compare that to a lina which has a 440 GPM and K+A of 15.
Or Tusk which has a 289 gpm and a K+A of 14. Which is extremely good value.
Last six months don't matter, only the meta in the TI5 which is much different than it was the last tournament. -

Watching the EG vs CDEC game at KeyArena was really pretty awesome. CDEC really just fucking demolished EG in the draft which was completely unexpected for me. I was rooting for CDEC (just love the complete unknown team just demolishing the tournament), but was pretty ambivalent about their chances.
The mind games in the first draft were just out of this world, one of the things I was expecting EG to dominate in was the draft but it was a complete turnaround on them. CDEC played EG like a fucking fiddle in the first draft. It was really impressive for a Chinese team, which in general are regarded as having more static/unresponsive drafting. They basically let EG draft sumail into a corner and then denied his best option (TA).
And then it happened AGAIN IN GAME TWO. It was like a complete fucking reversal of their first match up earlier in the tournament and really telling for how good CDEC is if you give them something to run on.-
Also the crowd was really going wild in that game, both for CDEC plays and EG plays.
My favorite part was after EG's first loss, when walking out of the stadium they intentionally straddled the far left wall in order to stay away from all the people wanting to high-five them lol, really illustrated their mindset I think at the end of that.
