Lara Croft Go will raid mobile tombs in late August
Square Enix has announced the release date for its upcoming mobile game based on the Tomb Raider franchise, Lara Croft Go.
Square Enix has announced Lara Croft Go will be released on mobile platforms on August 27.
Lara Croft Go follows up on Square Enix’s previous hit mobile game, Hitman Go, by offering turn-based puzzles within challenging levels. The game will also offer a never-before-seen take on the iconic Tomb Raider franchise.
To celebrate its upcoming launch, Square Enix has announced a Lara Croft Go-inspired art contest that will benefit Child’s Play Charity. Artists are asked to submit their own original Lara Croft Go-inspired artwork of their favorite Lara Croft and Tomb Raider scenes. The top 10 entries will be showcased during the Lara Croft Go party at PAX Prime on August 28 and artists will be awarded exclusive prizes. Three entries will be chosen to be auctioned off, with proceeds going to Child’s Play. Submissions are open from now until August 21 with submissions asked to be sent to info@square-enix-montreal.com.
Square Enix didn't disclose what mobile platforms Lara Croft Go will launch on, but we wouldn't be surprised if iOS and Android devices were supported from the get go.
We went hands-on with Lara Croft Go back at E3, and after experiencing the game, we can’t wait until its full release later this month.
