Firaxicon 2015 comes to Baltimore in October

The second Firaxicon will take place on October 3, giving attendees a chance to meet Firaxis developers, as well as check out XCOM 2 and Civilization: Beyond Earth - Rising Tide before they release.

After a successful convention in 2014, Firaxis is returning to the con scene with Firaxicon 2015. Today, the developers behind the Civilization and XCOM series have announced that they will hold this year's Firaxicon at the Baltimore Convention Center on Saturday, October 3.

Firaxicon will offer attendees an opportunity to meet the Firaxis team. Various panels for the XCOM and Civilization series will be held throughout the day, including panels for the latter led by Sid Meier. It will also represent the first chance for the public to try out XCOM 2 and Civilization: Beyond Earth's Rising Tide expansion before they launch later in the year.

The convention will be filled with other fun activities, such as board games with the Firaxis team, as well as giveaways, challenges, competitions, and prizes centered around the Civilization and XCOM worlds. Tickets are going for $40 and are available now from Eventbrite.
