While Call of Duty prepares to continue the Black Ops series this coming November, the people at Sledgehammer Games have one last round of DLC for their take on the series, Advanced Warfare.

Titled 'Reckoning,' the last of the Advanced Warfare DLC packs will add four new multiplayer maps, as well as the Exo Grapple mechanic. The maps are:

  • Overload - A New Baghdad compound filled with fountains, gardens, and decorative plasma lamps across multiple levels. Pump your opponents full of lead in the lap of luxury.
  • Quarantine - This map is placed in the center of a biological testing center atop a condemned island. There are tight corners everywhere, but there are also enough open areas across this medium-sized map to engage the enemy frequently in a variety of ways.
  • Fracture - An arctic excavation site, Fracture is filled with turbines and heavy equipment. The glaciers are fragile and can come apart over the course of the game.
  • Swarm - This is a reconstruction site in Seoul, South Korea. The streets are lined with cover spots, as well as flanking opportunities.

'Reckoning' will also house the conclusion to the Exo Zombies saga, which has only gotten more intense with the addition of Bruce Campbell to the cast.

It should also be noted that this will be the final timed exclusive DLC pack for Xbox owners, as the timed exclusives will now go to PlayStation from here on out. 'Reckoning' will hit Advanced Warfare on August 4 for Xbox owners with other platforms set to receive it later.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
