Splatoon kicks off Splatfest #2 tonight with new weapons

Splatoon, Nintendo’s colorful and quirky shooter, is getting two new weapons, and entering its second Splatfest this weekend.

Nintendo’s quirky shooter, Splatoon, continues to drive in new content with this weekend’s Splatfest. Celebrating summer fun, the Splatfest will run from 9 PM PT July 17 until 9 PM PT on July 18. With the Splatfest also comes the release of two new weapons to the Inkling armory.

The first new weapon, the Octobrush, features denser bristles that allow players to fling more ink with each swipe.

The second weapon, the N-ZAP ’89 is a modified form of the N-ZAP ’85 which features a Sprinkler which will allow players to fire off more Inkstrikes than ever before.

Both weapons will be available starting tonight at 7 PM PT. You can find out more about the Splatfest via Nintendo's blog.
