Batman: Arkham Knight season pass offers 1989 film-inspired DLC and more in August
Warner Bros. has detailed some of Batman: Arkham Knight's upcoming downloadable content, which includes new skins for multiple characters, the Batmobile, and more.
Today marks the release of Batman: Arkham Knight’s first piece of downloadable content, titled Batgirl: A Matter of Family, that is, unless you’re playing the game on PC. But today, Warner Bros. has revealed additional DLC we can expect to be available next month.
Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass owners will be able to glide around Gotham City donning 1989’s Batman suit and diving into 1989’s Batmobile, both from the original 1989 Batman film. The 1989 Movie Batmobile Pack not only includes these two skins, but also two tracks inspired by the film’s sequel, Batman Returns.
The second piece of DLC is called the Bat-family Skins Pack. This pack includes six character skins based on alternate timelines. This includes 1990s Catwoman, One Year Later Robin, Arkham Origins Batman, Iconic Grey & Black Batman, 1970s Batman, and the Original Arkham Nightwing.

I believe you can buy any piece of content separately. There are several skins available right now, some individually, and some in a pack.
I'd think about picking up the season pass, though. There are several story packs due out; between those, the skins, and extra maps, $40 is a great price, and may end up saving you a few bucks depending on which pieces of content you want to cherry pick.-
we don't really know what is coming though for certain and i probably won't pay for the story stuff individually if it's as short as the harley DLC was.
i don't see the value in superficial skins. yeah they look cool but i'd rather play it as the developer intended the suit to look through the story. like i said, no interest in AR challenges or "extra maps" or tracks. the race tracks are the #1 worst thing about the game for me. i can see that people might like that but paying $40 for potentially "several" story packs of who knows what length? -
someone below said the story pack was 7 bucks. i just found this at IGN:
Batgirl: A Matter of Family - A prequel story expansion allowing players to take on the role of Barbara Gordon as Batgirl, before the events that led her to be confined to a wheelchair as Oracle.
The Season of Infamy - New story missions that have you play as Batman to take on new super-villains that attempt ot invade Gotham, complete with new story arcs and gameplay features.
Gotham City Stories - Narrative missions that allow you to play as Batman's allies, extending their stories both before and after the events of Batman: Arkham Knight

If they're all 7 bucks then i come out ahead with picking and choosing -

btw here is a review of the batgirl DLC

they say meatier than harley but not by much. basically they estimate an hour and a half if you 100% it but only an hour of that is story to go through.

That's why I couldn't help myself when I bought one of these:

I still have no place to put it, so it lives in its box in the basement, for now.-

Yeah, it was probably one of my more stupid purchases, but I love the thing nonetheless. I absolutely adored the 1989 Batman movie. I went opening night and it was one of those defining moments of my youth. I think I was 12 years old or something, went with a friend of mine, and we went on our own. We spent weeks wondering if we would get tickets or not at our local theatre (we did). I was huge into the comics that year, too and wore a Batman T-Shirt to school as often as I could. So when I saw Hot Toys make this monstrosity, it was a no-brainer. I ended up collecting some other Hot Toys figures, but the 1989 ones are the only ones I expect I will keep for the long term.

i was 7 in '89 and went opening weekend. i don't remember if it was opening day, but it was the first time i ever saw a line for a movie go out the door and down the sidewalk. the hype was so insane for that movie. kids at school were getting the bat symbol shaved into their hair. that batmobile is still my favorite too. i found a different model that runs for $2500 and had a bunch of moving parts if that makes you feel better about dropping the money on yours lol
