Grand Theft Auto 5 PC suffering frame rate issues after new Ill-Gotten Gains patch
The latest piece of Ill-Gotten Gains content was released last week, although it appears these gains are weighing heavily on PC players in particular.
The PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 received title update 1.28 which included new cars, guns, clothes, and more as part of its Ill-Gotten Gains Update: Part Two. But it appears this update is doing more harm than good as PC players are reporting frame rate issues following the release of this update.
Rockstar has acknowledged the frame rate issue after users reported it on Rockstar Games’ support website. “We have received reports of lower frame rate in GTA V and GTA Online after Title Update 1.28 on PC, and we are looking into these reports now,” Rockstar writes. The update doesn’t give any information as to what the issue causing lower framerates could be, so we’re hopeful Rockstar gets to the bottom of it soon.
