Treyarch Studios has announced the PlayStation 4-timed exclusive beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will begin on August 19. The studio did not disclose when Xbox One and PC players will get their own respective betas, although they do say “more information coming soon.”

Players can guarantee themselves a spot in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 by pre-ordering a copy of the game at participating retailers or digital marketplace. Unfortunately, the multiplayer beta won’t be heading to the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 even though the full game is expected to hit last-gen platforms.

During Sony’s E3 2015 press conference, Treyarch announced it would be the first Call of Duty game to side with Sony for its timed exclusives. Not only does this mean the PlayStation 4 will have its beta prior to any other platform, but future downloadable content will also be made available first on that platform.
