Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain gets another lengthy video demo
Wondering just how flexible Phantom Pain is? Check out this alternate playthrough of some of the areas we saw at E3 to see Snake take a different approach.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is leaning hard into its open world structure, and the latest video makes a point to show just how open it is. The 31-minute demo (via RPS) shows some of the areas we saw recently at E3, but with a different approach. Grab a popcorn and some soda--it's a long one--and check out the playthrough below. It's in Japanese for the time being, but we'll add the English-language version as soon as it pops out from the cardboard box it's hiding under.

I've heard that Kojima is trying to rationalize it with a bit of really stupid narrative. He's said 'you'll learn why Quiet dresses the way she does' but I think he's let it slip that it's because that is the outfit she was sexually abused in.
I don't know if I can think of a more tasteless way to get more tits and ass on the screen than trying to couch it in some exploration of sexual trauma.
I mean, we'll see when the game comes out but Kojima has a pretty terrible track record with the juvenile titillation in his games.
