Virtual reality is the next big battleground in video games and Sony is preparing to take the field with its own Morpheus peripheral. To learn more about it, Shacknews had the opportunity to talk to the director of PlayStation Magic Labs, Richard Marks, at E3 2015.

"It's funny, because almost every genre is being explored in VR that already exists and some new kinds of games, too," Marks told Shacknews' John Gaudiosi. "So it isn't just one kind of thing makes sense for VR. It's really all the different game genres, but some reinvented for VR, I would say."

Marks goes on to list a number of the Morpheus games on display, including the online multiplayer Rigs, Super Hyper Cube, the Harmonix music visualizer, and more. Check out the full interview below.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
