Bungie has announced Destiny’s Iron Banner competitive multiplayer event will be returning today at 10am PT / 1pm ET.

The latest Iron Banner event will be the second to become available since the release of the House of Wolves expansion. The rewards for this Iron Banner event includes gauntlets, a chest piece, and two weapons. The weapons players can obtain from the Iron Banner includes a machine gun and the legendary pulse rifle called Skorri’s Revenge. Iron Banner events typically last for one week, so you’ll be able to enjoy your Independence Day by taking down fellow Guardians.

The previous Iron Banner offered Etheric Light, which is both a vital and rare resource Guardians need in order to upgrade their legendary gear. Players also received a reputation boost for players’ lower-ranked alternate Guardians in order to help rank them up more quickly. It’s unknown if those bonuses will also be available in this week’s Iron Banner event, but it’d nice to be able to continue to level up our legendary gear and our additional Guardians.
