Wasteland 2 Director's Cut shown off in debut trailer, drops GOTY Edition
InXile Entertainment has released a trailer for Wasteland 2 Director's Cut, while at the same time dropping it's Game of the Year Edition tag.
InXile Entertainment has released the first trailer for its upcoming Wasteland 2 Director’s Cut, which was previously called its Game of the Year Edition. Even though the name may have changed a bit, the game is still scheduled to be released on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and become available to all PC owners of the original game as a free update.
The trailer shows off some of the improvements we can expect from the Director’s Cut version of Wasteland 2. Improvements includes updated graphics, a new Perks & Quirks feature that adds enhanced character depth, Precision Strikes for additional combat tactics, expanded voice overs with over 8,000 new recorded dialog lines, controller support, a redesigned user interface, and more.
We spoke to InXile’s projecr lead Chris Keenan earlier this year in regards to Wasteland 2 making the leap to both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. In the interview, he discusses the game’s move to Unity 5, how the PC’s point-and-click interface translates to the console version, and more. We also got our hands on the Director’s Cut last week at E3, which we’ll be publishing shortly, so keep an eye out for that.
