Killer Instinct on PC features cross-platform play and purchases
When Killer Instinct is released on PC, PC owners will be able to take on Xbox One fighters as well as enjoy all of their previously purchased goods.
Microsoft announced Killer Instinct would be making its way to PC, although the initial announcement didn’t disclose much information regarding this port of the popular Xbox One-exclusive fighting game. But an Iron Galaxy dev member took to his Twitter to confirm not only will Killer Instinct have cross-platform multiplayer, but all purchases made on the Xbox One will be transferred over to the game’s PC counterpart.
Cross-Play confirmed. Also, whatever you've bought on XBox One will be there, waiting for you dutifully on Windows 10 #KillerInstinct

This is great news for both PC and Xbox One fans of Killer Instinct. Xbox One owners who want to dip a toe into PC gaming can do so while having all of their previously-purchased content waiting for them. As for PC gamers, this news gives them the opportunity to take on any and all comers across two platforms and proceed to gloat if they win. That is, unless the other player is fighting with Microsoft’s $150 “Elite” controller. For that amount of money, we have a feeling it guarantees wins for its owner no matter what game they’re playing.
