Ultra Street Fighter 4 on PS4 gets version 1.03
Capcom remedies the problems that have plagued the PS4 port that was supposed to be the "definitive version of USFIV."
Capcom served the Ultra Street Fighter 4 port on PlayStation 4 late last month, but unfortunately a plethora of bugs and glitches left a bad taste in player’s mouths.
Today, Capcom released patch 1.03 to fix most of the complaints gamers had with the PS4 port. Some of the major repairs reduce input lag, improve online match performance, and increase the transition speed between menus.
Hopefully these changes are just what the doctor ordered for Capcom. With the Evo tournament only a month away, Capcom is under pressure to deliver on its promise to make the PS4 version “the definitive version of USFIV” or Evo participants will be stuck playing the Xbox 360 version.
Here’s a complete list of what to expect in the 1.03 patch.
• Reduced input latency
• Addressed matching not working correctly within the Replay Channel
• Fixed bug where character movement SFX are replaced by ambient stage sounds
• Improved online match performance
• Fixed localization issue in Spanish for the control customization UI
• Fixed bug where grey box appeared around OPTIONS in MY LIST
• Fixed resolution “snap” between menu transitions
• Fixed crash bug where leaving the game in Trials for extended period
• Addressed Juri pinwheel graphical corruption
• Added Special Titles (from Prize Codes). Note: There are no more Prize Codes, which is why the input is disabled
• Fixed bug where Title/Icon Scroll speeds were sluggish
• Adjusted volume of announcer compared to other sound levels
• Overall audio balancing to correct volume levels; several corrected audio bugs
