Splatoon will be receiving a new weapon to help spread ink across a variety of maps today as the Inkbrush will be available tonight at 7pm PT for free, Nintendo announced.

The Inkbrush is similar to the paint roller, but it’s quicker to use. It isn’t a strong offensive weapon, but it does feature Sprinklers and Inkstrikes to help maximize ink coverage.

Earlier this week, Nintendo released a new map and new gun, the N-Zap ‘85, for free as well as unlocking Ranked Battle Mode for players level 10 and above. The company announced it would be pushing out additional content for Splatoon during the summer as well as releasing a new mode called Rainmaker in August, and today’s release is definitely a welcome addition to our Inkling’s arsenal.
