Persona 4: Dancing All Night opens pre-orders with a J-pop trailer

Fighting with Personas? Been there, done that. Now the cast of Persona 4 must save the world by dancing in the upcoming Vita rhythm game, Persona 4: Dancing All Night.

Persona 4 has been a rich world and a rewarding series of games for RPG fans of all stripes. Persona 4 Golden remains one of the definitive RPG experiences on PlayStation Vita, while the story has been rich enough to support not one, but two fighting game spin-offs. Now Atlus would like to remind Persona fans about its next venture into the spin-off realm by releasing a new trailer for the bizarre Persona 4: Dancing All Night.

As the name implies, the main objective for Persona 4: Dancing All Night is to show off the characters' best dance moves. When shadows threaten the world, the best way to fight them off is with the power of dance, like some sort of weird anime Footloose... or something. Gameplay cues are taken from games like Dance, Dance Revolution, with players tapping buttons in rhythmic fashion to the disco beat.

I know. It's weird. But if nothing else, the music is definitely catchy. Find the full J-pop song list over on the Persona 4: Dancing All Night website. Give the music a listen in the new trailer below. We've also tossed in the original teaser, because the dancing must never stop! Persona 4: Dancing All Night is set to release on Vita this fall, with pre-orders now available.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
