Chivalry: Medieval Warfare celebrates community with new update and free Steam weekend
Torn Banner Studios appreciates the strong Chivalry: Medieval Warfare community and will celebrate them with tomorrow's Chivalry Community Fest. This will include a free weekend, as well as a new update.
The melee madness of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is still a big hit with the Shacknews Chatty community and is still a part of the regular Shackbattle rotation. Those users and many others will be happy to hear that Torn Banner Studios isn't quite finished with the game yet. In fact, the developer is preparing to release a new content update this Thursday and will celebrate by offering the game for a free weekend on Steam.
As part of Chivalry Community Fest, tomorrow's Chivalry update will add seven new maps, along with nine new weapons and helmets. The new goodies have all been designed by the Chivalry community. The Steam version of Chivalry will be made free from tomorrow at 10AM PDT through Sunday, May 31 at 1PM PDT. While new players will flood in, the loyal Chivalry Steam Community is set to receive a special bonus in the form of a special in-game brand and a Muffin Top hat. An extra bonus will be added once the Chivalry Steam Community hits 100,000 members.
For more on tomorrow's update, check out the video below. If you don't own Chivalry yet, wait one more day. The game's price will be slashed to 80% off from tomorrow through Sunday.

After reading shack posts about Chivalry, I tried a free weekend and I just couldn't stop playing. I played the game for like a year with the bug that wouldn't save weapon progress. It was that much fun (They finally patched that and I've since unlocked all weapons).
I never tried deadliest warrior. It's didn't seem like my thing. I'm glad that they have continued to support Chivalry Medieval Warfare after all this time.
