Angry Birds VR shown running on Samsung Gear VR
Rovio has developed and shown off a VR version of its popular mobile game, Angry Birds.
Rovio has created a virtual-reality experience based on its mobile game, Angry Birds.
Angry Birds VR was shown at Rock in Rio festival this past weekend running on the Samsung Gear VR headset. Rovio changed the focus of Angry Birds from its usual side perspective to a view behind the birds as they’re launched into the air. Players appear to need to control the bird by tilting their head in order to get them through a number of floating white rings, although that’s complete speculation on our part as Rovio hasn’t given any official details surrounding the game.
Rovio isn’t the only mobile developer that has entered the VR ring. Imangi Studios released Temple Run VR also for the Gear VR headset late last year. As VR becomes more widely used, we’re curious to see what other companies decide to enter the ring.
