Overlord: Fellowship of Evil offers 4-player co-op mayhem in 2015
A new Overlord game has been announced, but with the Overlord now good and dead, it's time for the Netherghuls to rise to the occasion as they attempt to spread evil once again.
Codemasters promised us an Overlord announcement today, and by golly, we got one as Overlord: Fellowship of Evil has just been announced for consoles and PC.
Overlord: Fellowship of Evil has players assuming the role of one of four Netherghuls now that the last true Overlord is deceased. The four Netherghuls are described as undead servants of the dark arts who are determined to bring back evil to the world that’s been completely overrun by the forces of good.
Each of the four Netherghuls can be controlled by up to four human players, both in local and online co-op play. Whether or not you actually help each other or just troll other players is completely up to you.
Even though the gameplay seems to be different from the original Overlord formula, Fellowship of Evil is being penned by Rhianna Pratchett, who wrote the script for both Overlord and Overlord 2. Marc Silk is also returning to reprise his role of Gnarl, who is the wise, old minion master.
Overlord: Fellowship of Evil will be released digitally in 2015 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
